Simile
Figurative language is a teacher favorite to teach. Figurative language describes things by combining unexpected words together. It challenges you to put ideas together with things that you know. Like this video. A simile is when the comparison uses the words: LIKE or AS. This video example is using the word LIKE for the simile. "...when bullets fly LIKE butterflies..." We know what each thing is, BUT by comparing how they "fly" is unexpected. So, it makes you think about it more deeply about the intended meaning. I'm not going to answer the question for you. I know you have the ability to do that for yourself. And there really is no ONE right way to answer it. A thoughtful response will do.
